YEREVAN, December 4. /ARКА/. Armenia is committed to synchronizing its motor transport regulations with EAEU and international standards.
At its session on Thursday, the National Assembly approved the Agreement on Permissible Weights, Axle Loads, Load Capacity, and Dimensions of Vehicles Traveling on the Roads of EAEU Member Statesя
According to Armen Simonyan, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, Armenia finds it beneficial to align its current legal regulations in the motor transport sector with those of EAEU member states, while also adopting internationally recognized standards.
"Alignment of permissible weight, axle loads, load capacity, and dimensions of vehicles on the roads of EAEU countries with the existing regulations of these nations will streamline the freight transportation process along EAEU transport corridors," Simonyan remarked.
The Deputy Minister further highlighted that the ratification of the Agreement will promote uniform requirements for carriers from member states within the EAEU, ease the international freight transportation process, standardize regulations for heavy and oversized cargo, and simplify administrative procedures.-0-
