Armenia's domestic trade turnover exceeds 5.6 trillion drams, up 18%

Armenia’s domestic trade turnover for January-November 2024 reached 5,603,922.3 million drams (at current prices), marking an 18% increase compared to the same period in 2023, according to the National Statistical Committee of the country.

YEREVAN, January 15. /ARKA/. Armenia’s domestic trade turnover for January-November 2024 reached 5,603,922.3 million drams (at current prices), marking an 18% increase compared to the same period in 2023, according to the National Statistical Committee of the country.

In November 2024, the turnover amounted to 613,899.0 million drams, reflecting an 11.5% increase compared to November 2023 and a 5.4% rise compared to October 2024.

For the 11 months, wholesale trade turnover totaled 3,685,064.4 million drams (65.8% share, up 25.1% year-on-year), retail trade turnover was 1,694,285.4 million drams (30.2% share, up 8.2%), and automobile trade turnover reached 224,572.5 million drams (4% share, down 6.5%).

Within retail trade, shops accounted for 83.6% of the total retail turnover, amounting to 1,416,799.7 million drams (a 10% increase), followed by consumer goods markets (3.5%) with 59,151.4 million drams (a 2.3% increase), kiosks (1.2%) with 20,244.2 million drams (a 1.3% increase), agricultural produce markets (0.9%) with 14,422.4 million drams (a 5.2% decline), and other trade facilities (10.8%) with 183,667.7 million drams (a 1.1% decline).
