Armenia is now discussing opportunities for establishing a free industrial economic zone, Artsvik Minasyan, Armenian economy minister, said Wednesday in the National Assembly.

YEREVAN, May 19. /ARKA/. Armenia is now discussing opportunities for establishing a free industrial economic zone, Artsvik Minasyan, Armenian economy minister, said Wednesday in the National Assembly.
In his words, the matter is being considered in the context of the Eurasian Economic Union.
“The key aim is to develop and increase volumes of exports, and therefore companies that have development prospects and room for building up their exports will be attracted,” he said.
There are two free economic zones in Armenia now - Alliance (high and information technologies) and Meridian (jewelry industry).
Investments of the Armenian companies involved in free economic zones are expected to exceed $100 million. --0---
