YEREVAN, April 4. /ARKA/. At the invitation of Ameria Management Advisory the International Consulting Alliance (ICA)  is holding its fourth three-day annual forum in the Armenian capital Yerevan.

Frederick Andre, the founder of  ICA, and IBF's executive director,  told journalists on Tuesday that the gathering’s goal is to establish closer cooperation between international and local companies. He said the gathering is expected to strengthen and increase the productivity of their work for participation and winning tenders, which are carried out by international financial institutions such as the World Bank, the EU and others.

Armenia’s minister of international economic integration and reforms Vache Gabrielyan, in turn, noted that it is very important  to have consulting companies in Armenia which help development of the country.

He said Ameria Management Advisory, which is a member of ICA, provides local companies with an opportunity to participate in local tenders through various consortia, providing also international experience and local knowledge to localize this experience.

According to him, this approach will allow international companies to get acquainted with Armenia, while local companies will get the possibility to expand their contacts, get an opportunity to show their capabilities and take part in various international tenders.

The International Consulting Alliance, created in 2012 by a leading consulting company IBF, brings together about 60 consulting organizations from around the world. The Ameria Management Advisory joined it in 2013.  In cooperation with several ICA members Ameria implemented a number of important projects in Armenia’s energy and forestry sectors.

The Yerevan forum has brought to Armenia more than 50 advisors from 30 countries, including Great Britain, France, Belgium, Finland, Spain, Russia, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Kyrgyzstan, China, and Macedonia. Previous forums were held in Macedonia, Barcelona and Istanbul.  -0-
