Armenia will start producing thermal viewers and night vision devises, Artsvik Minasyan, economy minister, said Thursday at a regular Cabinet session.

YEREVAN, July 14. /ARKA/. Armenia will start producing thermal viewers and night vision devises, Artsvik Minasyan, economy minister, said Thursday at a regular Cabinet session.
The Cabinet ministers, decided Thursday to allow Unikum Engineering company to embark on production of the mentioned devises in Alliance Free Economic Zone.
“The company is planning to invest around $31 million and to create ten jobs in the first year with the prospect of increasing the number to 35 by the fifth year of its activity,” MInasyan said.
The employees’ average salary will be increased from 150,000 drams to 350,000 drams by the fifth year.
The full output of the company will be sent to Russia.
As many as 1,000 devises worth $5 million are planned to be exported over the first year of its activity and 5,500 devises worth $12 million over the fifth year.
The company will be located on the territory of 460 square meters.
There are two free economic zones in Armenia now - Alliance (high and information technologies) and Meridian (jewelry industry). --0---
