Armenian SRC thwarts attempt of import of medical gloves and masks at price much lower than market one (video)
YEREVAN, August 31. /ARKA. Acting on a tip the Armenian State Revenue Committee (SRC) thwarted an attempt to import medical gloves and masks from an EEU country at a price several times lower than the market one.
The gloves and masks were imported by father and son Margaryans via Medex Group LLC by two trucks.
After the trucks, which entered Armenia through Bagratashen customs check point, were checked at the customs warehouse, it emerged that the real cost of the masks and gloves was about 460 thousand dollars, while the company declared only 87 thousand dollars.
The case was referred to the Investigative Department of the State Revenue Committee, where criminal proceedings were initiated under a relevant article of the Criminal Code of Armenia. By a court decision, the imported goods were confiscated in full. -0-
