YEREVAN, May 28. /ARKA/. Armenia will no longer be in a situation where there are no alternatives, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated Wednesday at a pre-election rally in Abovyan.

"We will not rely on one road, one ally, or one pipeline," Pashinyan said. He noted that Armenia already has a railway from West to East; the Akhalkalaki-Kars railway recently opened, and earlier, a railway connection through Azerbaijan.

Pashinyan also stated that the TRIPP route will soon open, and a gas pipeline will pass through Armenia. "Through this transit, we will have our own gas. We will be paid for this transit in gas," the prime minister said.

He added that Armenia will develop alternative energy.

Pashinyan also touched on several aspects of Armenia's relations with the US and the EU. He noted that Armenia had passed a law launching the EU accession process. "As long as Armenia can simultaneously remain a member of the EAEU and continue reforms to meet European standards, it will continue down this path. When the time comes to make a choice, you (the people) will make it. But it's important that the people have alternatives, so that no one can ever say about Armenia who needs it or where it might go," he stated.

According to him, Armenia is no longer a dead end in conflict, but is becoming a crossroads of peace, essential to both the West and the East, the North and the South.
