YEREVAN, April 18. /ARKA/. Investment culture, financial literacy, and the potential of the tech community were key topics at the latest Investor's Day event, organized by Ameriabank, which this time was specifically designed for representatives of the tech sector.

During the event, Ameriabank's brokerage team presented key investment concepts, strategies, and local and international market trends to members of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE).

Investor's Day is a series of events organized by Ameriabank's brokerage team aimed at bringing together people interested in investing, sharing experiences, and promoting an investment culture in the country.

Diana Hakobyan, Co-Head of Currency and Brokerage Operations at Ameriabank, noted that the bank has taken on the important mission of fostering a sound investment culture in the country.

"Today's Investor's Day is organized specifically for representatives of the tech community, as we believe their analytical thinking, interest in innovation, and overall industry development trends make them a community that shapes the country's investment culture," Hakobyan said.

In this context, she emphasized the importance of the MyInvest platform, which allows users to purchase approximately 70,000 stocks on 48 financial markets, as well as international and Armenian bonds, Eurobonds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and other instruments.

These digital solutions and financial instruments open up new prospects for collaboration across industries. Ameriabank is a member of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE), which unites over 250 tech companies, acting as a changemaker in the industry.

According to Sarkis Karapetyan, Executive Director of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE), one of the practical results of Ameriabank's collaboration with the Union is the availability of the first-ever impact bonds issued in Armenia on the MyInvest platform.

"Today's event is an attempt to better acquaint the tech community with the financial instruments Ameriabank offers for investment. The tech community is actively developing, and opportunities exist for both attracting and implementing investment," noted the UATE Executive Director.

The event also focused on issues such as how and when to start investing, as well as the most common mistakes made by beginning investors.

Армен Кочарян

Armen Kocharyan, President of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE), in turn, emphasized the importance of money management.

"When you start making money, managing it becomes a skill. In this area, I believe, our leaders in the technology sector are not yet so strong," Kocharyan noted, adding that the necessary work is being done in this area.

A partnership that goes beyond investment

Эдита Казарян

Edita Kazaryan, Deputy Director of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE), added that Ameriabank shares the organization's vision of making Armenia a technological powerhouse.

"We've already begun this journey, organizing several events together. We've also begun collaborating on the Armath engineering laboratories," Kazaryan said.

The UATE Deputy Director noted that the organization isn't limited to this. She expressed hope that a more extensive, strategic, and in-depth collaboration is expected in the near future.

The Investor's Day series continues: the next meeting will take place on April 30, where the Armenian bond market will be presented.
