Fly larvae found in pickled cucumbers in Armenia

The state food safety agency, following the information published in media resources about the worms found in Lutik pickled cucumbers of India's Bnazrum Agro Exports (P) Ltd., visited Kaiser Supermarket, 23/6 Margaryan Street, from which the complainant has bought a tin with the mentioned product, cut cucumbers from the three tins chosen in random, but saw nothing suspicious in them.

The state food safety agency, following the information published in media resources about the worms found in Lutik pickled cucumbers of India's Bnazrum Agro Exports (P) Ltd., visited Kaiser Supermarket, 23/6 Margaryan Street, from which the complainant has bought a tin with the mentioned product, cut cucumbers from the three tins chosen in random, but saw nothing suspicious in them.
The agency instructed the importer to speak with the producer company to clarify details.
Meanwhile, the importer company, Mini Baskonia told the regulator that it has talked to the complainant and has taken samples from him for a laboratory examination.
The examination has found black fly larvae in the samples.
«This means that irregularities may take place at the stage of production, not in the period of shipment and storage,» the press office of the government-affiliated food safety agency reports. -0---
