YEREVAN, January 10. /ARKA/. Over 4,500 violations of technical and fire safety rules were identified in Armenia in 2024, according to Garegin Khachatryan, head of the Armenian Inspectorate for Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety.

“Last year, the activities of 120 facilities were suspended, about 27 of which were unauthorized buildings erected on land plots that belong to the state and community. These structures were dismantled,” Khachatryan said during a press conference on Friday.

He noted that in 2024, more than 8,600 administrative acts were issued to hold individuals accountable in the areas of technical and fire safety, totaling 2 billion drams.

“The total amount of funds received by the state budget last year was approximately 400 million drams,” Khachatryan added.

According to him, the regulator’s oversight has become significantly stricter. ($1 = 396.85 drams)
