Vanand Kat dairy production suspended in Armavir

YEREVAN, April 13. /ARKA/. The head of the Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia has decided to suspend the production of Vanand Kat dairy products in Armavir.

The agency reported that inspectors found several breaches of sanitary and hygienic regulations during their inspection.

Specifically, it was noted that the design, construction, layout, and dimensions of the production facilities did not adequately prevent foreign particles from contaminating food products, nor did they prevent condensation and mold from forming on production surfaces, or ensure proper storage conditions for food items.

Additionally, the flooring in the food preparation and container washing areas was in a state of disrepair, and the walls were not constructed from waterproof, washable, and disinfectable materials.

The ceilings in the production areas also did not comply with safety standards, failing to eliminate the risk of particles falling from the structure and not minimizing moisture condensation.

Moreover, it was found that the door connecting the production area to the cheese brine area was made from moisture-absorbing materials, and there was no locker room available for the staff.

The director of the company has been instructed to implement the necessary measures to ensure that production meets regulatory standards.

As a result, production activities at the facility have been suspended, and a timeline has been established for addressing the identified violations.-0-
