The Yerevan Metro will continue to work in accordance with its schedule amid the coronavirus outbreak in Armenia, the press service of the subway reported.
YEREVAN, March 17. /ARKA/. The Yerevan Metro will continue to work in accordance with its schedule amid the coronavirus outbreak in Armenia, the press service of the subway reported.
On March 16 the government of Armenia declared a 30-day state of emergency in an effort to contain the spread of the Covid 19.
“Taking into account the state of emergency declared in the country, we are informing that the Yerevan Metro is working from 07:00 to 23:00. If the work schedule changes, additional information will be provided,” the subway said in a statement.
Armenian health authorities have confirmed 64 COIVID-19 cases in Armenia so far, an increase of twelve cases since yesterday.
The first case of coronavirus infection in Armenia was confirmed on March 1. The patient has already recovered and was discharged from the hospital. Among those infected are Armenian citizens from Iran and Italy (residents of Yerevan, Etchmiadzin, Meghri and Charentsavan), people who contacted with them, as well as one Italian citizen and a visitor from France. The vast majority of those infected (38 people), including one schoolchild, are residents of Etchmiadzin. --0--
