A 3.0-magnitude earthquake was recorded on Tuesday in southern Armenia, the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia reported.
YEREVAN, August 4. /ARKA/. A 3.0-magnitude earthquake was recorded on Tuesday in southern Armenia, the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia reported.
The Seismic Protection Service of Armenia recorded a magnitude 4.0 tremor at its epicenter at 11:54 local time (07:54 GMT) in the Armenia-Nakhichevan border zone.
The epicenter was located 23 km southwest of the town of Sisian in the Syunik region.
The earthquake was felt in the towns of Sisian and Dastakert, as well as in the villages of Arevis, Tanahat, Tasik, Salvard, and Torunik, with an intensity of 2-3.
