YEREVAN, July 31. /ARKA/. Armenia is expanding the presence of its agricultural products in the Georgian market, and Armenian fish products will soon become available to Georgian consumers, the Armenian Embassy in Georgia reports.

According to the diplomatic mission, the first batches of Armenian agricultural products entered the Georgian market on July 27, 29, and 30.

A further increase in supplies is expected, but the statement did not specify the volumes.

The Armenian Embassy notes that negotiations on the sale of Armenian fish products on the Georgian market have been successfully concluded.

Restrictions on the supply of Armenian goods to Russia

Russia previously imposed restrictions on the supply of a number of products from Armenia to Russia and the transit through its territory, including the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), citing violations of phytosanitary requirements. The restrictions apply to flowers, mineral water and alcohol, fresh and dried vegetables, fruits, berries, potatoes, fish and fish products, and dairy products.

Against these restrictions, the Armenian government has expanded support for exporters in alternative markets, providing partial compensation for transportation costs and customs duties on shipments to the EU, UK, and Canada.

State support extends to subsidized exports of products such as fish, fresh and dried fruits and vegetables, and other food products and beverages.
