YEREVAN, JULY 27. /ARKA/. In October, Armenia will ask the US government to conclude an agreement on the exclusion of double taxation, Armenian finance minister Vardan Aramyan told journalists on Thursday.
He said the Armenian government has repeatedly discussed this issue with American partners and plans to again propose that both governments sign a related agreement, especially after Armenia joined the multilateral convention of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on counteracting the tax base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) earlier this year.
According to him, Armenia's accession to the convention ensures that the minimum standards regarding prevention of treaty abuse and amelioration of the international tax dispute resolution process are implemented in all covered tax agreements quickly.
He said Armenia has signed a similar agreement with Israel the other day, which became the 47th country with which Armenia has signed this agreement.-0-
