YEREVAN, January 12. /ARKA/. In Armenia, inflation was 3.3% in December 2025 compared to December 2024, with a monthly increase of 1.2%.

This is according to a report from the Statistical Committee of Armenia (Armstat).

In December 2025, compared to December 2024, prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 4.3%, with a monthly increase of 2.9%.

In December, prices for alcoholic and tobacco products increased by 7.3% year-over-year, and by 0.6% compared to November of this year. In December 2024, clothing and footwear prices increased by 0.3% (up 0.4% month-on-month), while utility prices increased by 0.3% (up 0.6% month-on-month). Household goods, appliances, and daily apartment maintenance increased by 0.2% year-on-year in December, and decreased by 0.7% month-on-month. In December, prices in the healthcare sector increased by 2.5% year-on-year (up 0.1% month-on-month), in the transportation sector, prices increased by 6.2% (down 0.6% month-on-month), in the communications sector, prices increased by 0.6% year-on-year (down 0.0% month-on-month), in recreation and culture, prices increased by 0.9% (down 0.9% month-on-month), in education, prices increased by 8.3% (down 0.0% month-on-month), in the restaurant and hotel sector, prices increased by 2.9% (down 0.0% month-on-month), and for various goods and services, prices in December increased by 2.8% year-on-year (down 0.0% month-on-month).

At the same time, according to statistics, prices in the non-food market increased by 0.9% in December of this year compared to December of last year, and there were no changes compared to November of the same year. Furthermore, utility tariffs for the population in December 2025 increased by 3.1% year-on-year and 0.1% month-on-month.

Armenia's state budget projects economic growth at 5.1% for 2025 and 5.4% for 2026. According to the Central Bank's monetary policy report for the fourth quarter of this year, Armenia's GDP growth is expected to be 5.9-5.9% by the end of 2025, 6.3-4.1% in 2026, and 4.9-5.3% in 2027, depending on scenarios (A-B).
