Arthur Abraham Sports Complex to be built in Yerevan, costing 2.3 billion drams

The foundation stone for a children's and youth sports complex named after world-famous boxer Arthur Abraham was laid in Yerevan on Monday.
YEREVAN, April 20. /ARKA/. The foundation stone for a children's and youth sports complex named after world-famous boxer Arthur Abraham was laid in Yerevan on Monday.
The sports complex is being built in the Shengavit administrative district, at a total cost of 2.3 billion drams.
Following the project presentation, Arthur Abraham and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who were present at the ceremony, signed a message to future generations, and then a time capsule containing the message was laid in the foundation of the complex.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the facility will be completed on time and to a high standard. He stated that government policy is aimed at supporting athletes who have achieved international success, developing sports in the country, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
The sports complex will reportedly consist of two buildings: one underground and three above-ground floors. The first building will house multi-purpose training halls, boxing and wrestling halls, locker rooms, saunas, doctor's offices, massage rooms, and administrative offices. The second building will house a basketball court, according to the Armenian government's press service.
The land on which the sports school is being built was acquired by Arthur Abraham several years ago. Funds for the project were allocated by the government. ($1 = 373.34 drams).
