Power generation in Armenia increased by 16.8% in January-October

Armenia’s power generating facilities produced about 7.2 billion kWh of electricity in the first ten months of 2022, which is 16.8% more than in the same period of 2021, according to the National Statistical Committee.
YEREVAN, December 5. /ARKA/. Armenia’s power generating facilities produced about 7.2 billion kWh of electricity in the first ten months of 2022, which is 16.8% more than in the same period of 2021, according to the National Statistical Committee.
Thermal power plants accounted for a little over 3 billion kWh of power (10.3% increase), the nuclear power plant produced over 2.2 billion kWh (63.3% increase), hydroelectric power plants – 1.7 billion kWh (12.8% decrease).
Wind power plants produced 1.4 million kWh of electricity during the reporting period (up 50.76%), and solar power plants produced 207.3 million kWh (up 2.7 times). -0-
