Construction volume in Armenia increased by 22% in the first three months of 2026, reaching 95.6 billion drams.

The volume of construction work in Armenia from January to March 2026 amounted to 95,640.1 million drams at current prices, an increase of 22% compared to January to March 2025, according to the Statistical Committee.

YEREVAN, May 14. /ARKA/. The volume of construction work in Armenia from January to March 2026 amounted to 95,640.1 million drams at current prices, an increase of 22% compared to January to March 2025, according to the Statistical Committee.

In March, construction volume amounted to 41,686.4 million drams, a 24% increase compared to March 2025.

The largest volume of construction in the first three months of this year was financed by organizations – 56,163.2 million drams, or 58.7% of the total. Compared to January to March 2025, this figure increased by 33.9%. The volume of construction financed by the population amounted to 28,507.8 million drams, or 29.8% of the total, an increase of 23.8%. The state budget financed 7,752.1 million drams of construction, or 8.1% of the total, a decrease of 30.8% compared to the previous year. The volume of work financed by community funds reached 2,910.2 million drams, or 3.1% of the total, an increase of 39.5%. Humanitarian aid funds amounted to 306.8 million drams, or 0.3%, an increase of 79.7%.

Moreover, the volume of construction financed by international loans in January-March amounted to 1,411.5 million drams, or 1.5% of the total, a decrease of 70.7% compared to the same period last year. Of this amount, the Asian Development Bank accounted for 577.9 million drams, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for 142.1 million drams, the German Development Bank for 91.7 million drams, the European Investment Bank for 1.7 million drams, and other institutions for 598.1 million drams.

The largest share of construction work in January-March 2026 was carried out in real estate activities, amounting to 56,736.1 million drams, or 59.3% of the total. Next came electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning, at 8,224.5 million drams, or 8.6%, and education, at 4,189.4 million drams, or 4.4%. ($1 = 368.63 drams)
