Armenian National Security Service releases details of raid on criminal group

Armenian National Security Service has disclosed a criminal group that was preparing major crimes in Yerevan, the press center of the Service reported on Wednesday.
YEREVAN, November 25. /ARKA/. Armenian National Security Service has disclosed a criminal group that was preparing major crimes in Yerevan, the press center of the Service reported on Wednesday.
The group members were caught today in a joint raid of the National Security Service and the police.
The law enforcement officers raided one of the private houses in Yerevan’s Nork-Marash district and found there guns and explosives.
They found out that Arthur Vardanyan, an Armenian citizen who now resides abroad, came this year to Armenia and created this criminal group.
Vardanyan, with nine other members of the criminal group, were taken in custody on charges of creation and participation in a criminal community, illegal acquirement and possession and sale of weapons.
A preliminary investigation is under way now. ---0----
