France is ready to support Armenia in building democracy, French Ambassador to Armenia Serge Smessov said on Tuesday.

YEREVAN, July 8. /ARKA/. France is ready to support Armenia in building democracy, French Ambassador to Armenia Serge Smessov said on Tuesday.

He told journalist that France supports Armenia as part of cooperation within Council of Europe and European Union and is ready to support it in its efforts to find peaceful solution to domestic political turmoil. In his opinion, no other means, but a dialogue can settle the matter.

Smessov said that France also supports Armenia for enhancing freedom of press.

In particular, French specialists cooperate with National Commission on Television and Radio and provide technical support to it.

The ambassador said that a new draft law on television and radio will be sent to the Parliament.-0-
