Ambassador says change of the regime will not impact friendly relations between Armenia and Egypt

Vahid El Din Ismail Gala, Egypt’s ambassador to Armenia, said today change of the regime in his country will not impact the traditionally friendly relations with Armenia.
YEREVAN, February 28, /ARKA/. Vahid El Din Ismail Gala, Egypt’s ambassador to Armenia, said today change of the regime in his country will not impact the traditionally friendly relations with Armenia.
He said Husein Tantaui, head of the supreme military command that is running now the country, said Egypt will respect all its international and regional commitments and this applies to Armenia as well. He said the revolution was triggered by domestic reasons and this is why Egypt is not going to revise its foreign policy course.
Noting friendly relations between Armenia and Egypt the ambassador said both countries have potential to boost their economic ties.
‘I believe that Armenia and Egypt should work to have more productive economic relations. We should also work to increase our trade,’ he said. -0-
