The agenda of the new session of the Armenian Parliament will be full of economic issues, Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Tigran Torosian told a press-conference.

YEREVAN, September 10. /ARKA/. The agenda of the new session of the Armenian Parliament will be full of economic issues, Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Tigran Torosian told a press-conference.

According to him, the agenda will include issues on economic development of Armenia, particularly the report on implementation of 2006 budget and reports of state agencies for 2006. The Parliament will also consider the planned documents and the draft budget for 2008.

The Speaker also reported that the parliament is to approve several appointments in the pre-election period – Prosecutor’s Office, representative of the Parliament in the Council of Justice, members of the Council of Public TV and Radio Company of Armenia, the Chamber of Control.

The Speaker pointed out that for implementation of the provisions under the constitutional amendments the Parliament has six months starting from the first day of session of the new parliament, i.e. June 7.

The second session of the National Assembly of fourth convocation started today. 30 draft laws and 11 international agreements are on the agenda of 4-day session (September 10-13). –0--
