ARMENIA'S NEW GOVERNMENT TO HAVE STRONGHOLD IN PARLIAMENT

Armenia's President Robert Kocharyan said that the new Government will have "impressive majority and stronghold" in the parliament.
YEREVAN, June 6. /ARKA/. Armenia's President Robert Kocharyan said that the new Government will have "impressive majority and stronghold" in the parliament.
The RA Government's press service reported that Robert Kocharyan said this during the government's session.
"It will give an opportunity to actively govern the country and implement reforms in different directions. I do not doubt that the next government will work productively - there are all the preconditions for that," he said.
Kocharyan highly estimated the activity of the previous ministers' cabinet and pointed out that in a number of spheres implemented reforms were not quite deep.
According to Kocharyan, the increase of population's living conditions was not equal in the whole territory of the country.
"I think that these are the problems that the next government will deal with," he said.
The Parliamentary elections in Armenia were held on May 12, as a result of which the following parties entered the National Assembly: the Republican Party of Armenia, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsitutiun, as well as two opposition forces - "Orinats Yerkir" and "Heritage".
The last session of the Armenian parliament that abdicated responsibility after the parliamentary elections took place on Wednesday, June 06, 2007. The new government will be formed at the beginning of July. L.M. -0—
