Data on violations to have no effect on final results in Armenian presidential election

The data on violations at the polling stations cannot have any effect on the results of the presidential election in Armenia, the member of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) Karen Poladyan told reporters.
YEREVAN, February 19. /ARKA/. The data on violations at the polling stations cannot have any effect on the results of the presidential election in Armenia, the member of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) Karen Poladyan told reporters.
“According to the final information, the CEC has received two complaints and one report, which will not affect the voting results,” Poladyan said.
The complaints received by the CEC dealt with the summarizing of the voting results at polling station #10/35, where detainees and arrestees participated in the voting, as well as at polling station #20/13, where the protocol and the copy of the protocol on the election of the chairman of the local election commission, which proved false.
The report dealt with untimely casting of lots at local polling stations.
Presidential election is being held in Armenia. Nine candidates are running for presidency. All the 1,923 polling stations were opened in Armenia at 8:00 a.m. and will be closed at 8:00 p.m. local time.
The RA Police Department reports that a total of 2,328,320 voters are officially registered in Armenia.
57.14% of voters had participated in the voting by 5:00 p.m. local time.
About 14,000 observers representing 39 local and six international organizations are monitoring the presidential election. –0--
