Armenian parliamentarian’s resignation to be accepeted in Mid-May

The resignation of Vahe Hovhannisyan, a Parliament member from the Prosperous Armenia Party, is to be accepted within 15 days.
YEREVAN, April 29. /ARKA/. The resignation of Vahe Hovhannisyan, a Parliament member from the Prosperous Armenia Party, is to be accepted within 15 days.
Vahe Hovhannisyan has sent in his resignation. If he does not withdraw his resignation within 15 days, it will be accepted, said Parliament Speaker Tigran Torosyan.
The reason for Hovhannisyan’s resignation is his business activities. Under the RA Constitution, Parliament member has no right to run business, hold government posts, work for any commercial organizations or carry out any activities except for research, educational and creative work.
Speaker Torosyan expressed hope that the Prosperous Armenia Party will be represented in Parliament by a member as worthy as Hovhannisyan.–0--
