Tripartite commission on unblocking regional communications does not work due to lack of consensus - Armenian Deputy Prime Minister
YEREVAN, 21 October. /ARKA/. The Armenian-Russian-Azerbaijani commission set up to unblock communications between Armenia and Azerbaijan is not working due to lack of consensus, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said today.
‘The work of the commission does not continue. In fact, there are fundamental issues on which there is no consensus. Until such a consensus is reached, there is no point in continuing to discuss details, he told reporters ahead of a meeting of the parliamentary committee on foreign relations.’ he said.
During the 12th meeting of the trilateral commission in Moscow in early June this year, Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Ministers Mher Grigoryan, Alexei Overchuk and Shahin Mustafayev reached an agreement on the implementation of concrete steps to restore railway communication from Armenian Yeraskh to Azerbaijani Julfa. -0-
