Armenia and Azerbaijan discuss draft instructions for delimitation of state border

Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and his Azerbaijani counterpart Shahin Mustafayev chaired a working meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani border delimittaion commissions in the format of videoconference on February 14, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

YEREVAN, February 14. /ARKA/. Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and his Azerbaijani counterpart Shahin Mustafayev chaired a working meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani border delimitation commissions in the format of video-conference on February 14, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

During the meeting, the sides discussed draft instructions necessary for the delimitation activities, as well as exchanged views on issues related to the organization of the next face-to-face meeting of the commissions.

The sides agreed to determine the date and venue of the next meeting in a working order.

Armenia and Azerbaijan have already demarked and delimited a section of their border that runs along the village of Kirants in Tavush region of Armenia..

Following a meeting of the border delimitation ccommissions on January 16, 2025 under the chairmanship of Mher Grigoryan and Shahin Mustafayev, the parties agreed to resume the delimitation of the state border.

According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the parties agreed to delimit the state border from the northern section: from the crossing point of the borders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, and then in the southern direction, from north to south: to the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan with the Islamic Republic of Iran.-0-
