Armenia's representative on international legal Affairs Yeghishe Kirakosyan to be removed from post

YEREVAN, March 6. /ARKA/. According to an agreement reached several months ago, Yeghishe Kirakosyan will be relieved of his duties as Armenia's representative on international legal issues at his own request, the Armenian Prime Minister's Information and Public Relations Department informed Armenpress.
It is noted that the information circulating in the media regarding the mass dismissal of office employees is false, and the office continues to operate normally.
Headed by Kirakosyan, the office of the Representative on International Legal Issues represented Armenia’s interests, particularly in the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), the UN International Criminal Court, and other international judicial bodies. Among the cases under consideration are Armenia’s lawsuits against Azerbaijan, including charges of crimes committed during the 44-day war in Artsakh, illegal trials of captured Armenians, armed attacks, and the occupation of Armenia’s sovereign territory by Azerbaijani Armed Forces, the blockade of the Lachin Corridor, violations of the rights of Armenians in Karabakh, as well as racial discrimination and long-term state-sponsored propaganda of Armenophobia.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan suggested the possibility of mutual withdrawal by Armenia and Azerbaijan from the lawsuits filed against each other in international courts.
