Armenia denies Azerbaijani allegations of border fire
YEREVAN, September 11. /ARKA/. Armenia's Ministry of Defense has denied claims by Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry that Armenian forces allegedly opened fire on Azerbaijani positions near the settlement of Heydarabad in the northwestern part of the Nakhichevan region on September 11 at around 10:50. The Armenian defense authorities stated that these allegations are unfounded.
The Armenian Ministry of Defense also reiterated a previous proposal made by the Armenian Prime Minister's office to establish a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism for investigating ceasefire violations or related information. The proposal remains unanswered by Azerbaijan.
