Armenia’s state food safety agency is tightening grip upon the market ahead of New Year holidays and after them, the agency’s press office reported on Monday.
YEREVAN, December 19. /ARKA/. Armenia’s state food safety agency is tightening grip upon the market ahead of New Year holidays and after them, the agency’s press office reported on Monday.
In particular, the agency will be raiding trade centers and food stores over a period between December 23, 2016 and January 8, 2017 to see shelf life of products and their storage conditions.
Unfit products or those kept in improper conditions will be removed from sale and destroyed.
Special groups will be set up for inspecting meat-selling stores. They will work in an emergency mode all over the country.
A round-the-clock hot line will be opened as well. The agency is calling on consumers to call 010 20 60 40 or send complaints to ssfs@ssfs.am e-mail address in the event of finding irregularities.
The agency is also calling on complainants to take photos to submit them as evidence with the address of the store and the full name of the producer and description of the irregularity.
