Armenian justice minister Hovhannes Manukyan has been relieved today of his position by President Serzh Sargsyan.
YEREVAN, July 14. / ARKA /. Armenian justice minister Hovhannes Manukyan has been relieved today of his position by President Serzh Sargsyan. A corresponding decree was signed by Sargsyan on Tuesday, the presidential press service reported.
Earlier, minister's press secretary Tsovinar Khachatryan said that Manukyan had tendered his resignation. Nothing has been said about the reasons behind the decision.
The 43 year-old Hovhannes Manukyan was appointed minister of justice in 2014 April. He is a graduate of the Yerevan State University in 1994.
At various times, he served as chairman of the Economic Court (1999-2005), chairman of the Court of Cassation (2005-2008) and Armenia's ambassador to Georgia (2011-2014) .-- 0--
