YEREVAN, October 7. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan congratulated today Russian President Vladimir Putin on his birthday. Putin turns 69.

In a telephone conversation Pashinyan wished the Russian leader health and inexhaustible energy. He stressed that Armenia and the Armenian people highly appreciate the efforts of the President of Russia, his exceptional role in maintaining peace and stability in the South Caucasus region.

Putin thanked Pashinyan for the warm congratulations and stressed that Russia attaches great importance to close cooperation with its strategic ally Armenia.

Armenian President Armen Sarkissian also sent his congratulations to Putin.

“Armenia highly appreciates you and your significant contribution to the development of cooperation between our countries and to the maintenance of peace and stability in our region,” says Armen Sarkissian's message, the text of which was published by his press service.

He expressed confidence that allied relations based on the centuries-old brotherhood of the two peoples and mutual trust, aimed at the future, will continue to contribute to the advancement of the bilateral agenda and the practical realization of the potential of cooperation. --0--
