A serviceman of the Armenian armed forces, Gerasim Arakelyan, died today after receiving a fatal gunshot fired by Azerbaijani troops, the Armenian Defense ministry reported.

YEREVAN, December 4. /ARKA/. A serviceman of the Armenian armed forces, Gerasim Arakelyan, died today after receiving a fatal gunshot fired by Azerbaijani troops, the Armenian Defense ministry reported.

It said the incident occurred December 4 at 14:35 near an Armenian military outpost located in Bardzruni district of Vayots Dzor province.

The ministry said an investigation is underway to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.

It also conveyed its condolences to the family members, relatives and fellow servicemen of the killed serviceman.-0-
