YEREVAN, 21 October. /ARKA/. Representatives of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) NGOs held a protest action in front of the Armenian Foreign Ministry on Monday, demanding the Armenian authorities not to give in to Azerbaijan's demand to dissolve the OSCE Minsk Group, the only organisation with an international mandate to settle the conflict.

One of the NGO representatives, Artur Grigoryan, said in particular that they would send a letter with this request to Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

'On 22 September 2024, more than 50 Artsakh organisations sent a message of similar content to the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Ian Borg,’ Grigoryan said.

In the letter, Artsakh residents recall the obligations of the Republic of Armenia to protect the citizens of Karabakh, which are stipulated by both national and international laws.

'Azerbaijan brazenly demands that Armenia join it in calling for the dissolution of the OSCE. The Armenian authorities should not agree to these and similar demands of official Baku, as fulfilment of this demand is not only humiliating, but also deprives the Republic of Armenia of vital rights. The same applies to the interests of the citizens of Artsakh,’ Grigoryan said.

His position was supported by the chairman of the Revolutionary Party of Artsakh Artur Osipyan.

'There is a problem of Nagorno-Karabakh, and the international community has not closed this issue. Even all UN members have stated that the status issue should be resolved. This is the task of all Armenians,’ Osipyan told reporters.-0-
