Ex- members of Armenian parliament establish new media holding

Several former members of the Armenian parliament - Arman Saghatelyan, Karen Bekaryan, Mihran Hakobyan and Samvel Farmanyan- have established the Karyak Media (Media Quartet) holding after acquiring Tert.am, ArmNews and Radio 107FM media outlets.

YEREVAN, January 8. /ARKA. Several former members of the Armenian parliament - Arman Saghatelyan, Karen Bekaryan, Mihran Hakobyan and Samvel Farmanyan- have established the Karyak Media (Media Quartet) holding after acquiring Tert.am, ArmNews and Radio 107FM media outlets.
In a statement they said that a few months ago they decided against becoming part of what they call ‘primitive show, hidden under the guise of political processes”.
"We were worried about the future of the country yesterday, we are worried today, but we hope to take part in building a more reliable and predictable future. At this difficult stage, full of uncertainties, when the fate of an entire nation is on the scale, we cannot remain indifferent and silent observers or gloat. We see potential threats and are ready to do everything possible in the name of a really New Armenia and to offer ways to protect the motherland from visible challenges,’ their statement says.
The statement also says that the decision to create the Karyak Media Company was prompted by the role of the media in public and political life of the country and in shaping the public agenda.
According to the statement, Tert.am LLC, ArmNews CJSC and Radio 107FM LLC will act under the single Tert.am brand. The holding will be managed by Aram Antinyan. -0-
