YEREVAN, May 14. /ARКА/. Armenia is ready to immediately sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan, said Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

“Amid the current geopolitical tensions and uncertainty, Armenia remains firmly committed to promoting sustainable peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus,” Mirzoyan said in his speech at a meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in Luxembourg.

The Foreign Minister recalled that Armenia and Azerbaijan announced that the draft peace treaty had been agreed upon and finalized.

“It is noteworthy that one of the provisions of today's ministerial decisions once again confirms this important stage and calls for the earliest possible signing and ratification of the agreement. I reaffirm Armenia's readiness to immediately follow this path,” Mirzoyan said.-0-
