Foreign Minister: Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty almost finalized
YEREVAN, June 27. /ARKA/. The contents of the Armenia-Azerbaijan draft peace treaty are almost finalized, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said at a joint press conference with his Estonian counterpart Margus Tsahkna in Tallinn.
However, Mirzoyan stressed that there was no positive reaction from the Azerbaijani authorities to Yerevan’s recent proposition to sign the treaty within one month.
Armenia remains committed to peace and normalization with Azerbaijan based on the mutual recognition of territorial integrity, he said.
Mirzoyan also declared that it is time to finish the conflict and bring peace to the region, a solution equally beneficial for all countries in the South Caucasus.
Armenia will continue its efforts towards peace and will rely on the support of the partners that are interested in a stable and lasting peace in the region, he concluded.
