Former Secretary of Armenia's Security Council Receives New Position and Will Participate in TRIPP Project Assessment

Former Secretary of Armenia's Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, has joined the international consulting firm Policy and Management Consulting Group (PMCG) as a senior advisor.
YEREVAN, September 9. /ARKA/. Former Secretary of Armenia's Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, has joined the international consulting firm Policy and Management Consulting Group (PMCG) as a senior advisor. This news was posted on the company's official website.
PMCG announced that Grigoryan will apply his experience in public administration and diplomacy to projects related to governance, regional cooperation, institutional development, and strategic policy.
Specifically, Grigoryan is already involved in the TRIPP feasibility assessment. PMCG notes that this initiative aims to strengthen regional connectivity through Armenia and expand opportunities for cooperation, peace, and prosperity in the region.
Grigoryan holds a Master's degree in Political Science and International Relations from the American University of Armenia and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Yerevan State University. He speaks Armenian, English, and Russian. Grigoryan served as Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia from 2018 to 2026. He participated in the development of strategic policy in the field of national security, coordinated interagency decisions on security and foreign policy issues, and represented Armenia in international negotiations. During his public service, Grigoryan coordinated the government initiative that resulted in the creation of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Armenia and headed the working group developing the concept and action plan for the country's Integrated Defense and Security System.
Commenting on Grigoryan's resignation, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that he had offered him a position in the Prime Minister's Office, but Grigoryan chose "to take a break from public service for the time being."
Alen Simonyan (previously Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia from August 2, 2021 to August 2, 2026) was appointed Grigoryan's successor as Secretary of the Security Council on August 13, 2026. About PMCG

The American side will own 74% of the stake, while Armenia will own 26%. The company is expected to facilitate the implementation of projects in areas such as railway and road infrastructure, oil and gas pipelines, fiber-optic lines, and electric power.
The project is to be implemented on Armenian territory while preserving its territorial integrity, sovereignty, and jurisdiction. In July 2026, the Armenian government launched the ratification process for the TRIPP framework agreement with the United States.
