Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos to visit Armenia soon

Invited by Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos and his spouse Vlassia Pavlopoulou will arrive in Yerevan on November 5 for an official visit, the press office of the Armenian president reported. After the official greeting ceremony, which is to take place in the presidential residence, the two countries will have a one-to-one meeting, and then the countries' delegations will meet in an extended mode. Armenian and Greek presidents will also speak at a joint news conference.

The delegation headed by President Prokopis Pavlopoulos will visit Tsitsernakaberd Memorial in Yerevan to pay floral tribute to those killed in the Armenian Genocide committed by Ottomans in 2015. Prokopis Pavlopoulos is also set to meet with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, National Assembly Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan and Catholicos Garegin II, the Armenian Apostolic Church leader. The delegation will visit Matenadaran, the museum of ancient manuscripts, and meet with representatives of the Greek community in Armenia. -0---
