Hungary condemns pardon of Azeri killer in Baku

Parlamentary Secretary of Zsolt Nemeth of the Foreign Ministry handed over a Diplomatic Note to Vilayat Guliyev Ambassador of Azerbaijan Sunday, informing him, that Hungary condemns the action of Azerbaijan regarding the extradited azeri soldier who killed his Armenian fellow class mate.
YEREVAN, September 3. /ARKA/. Parlamentary Secretary of Zsolt Nemeth of the Foreign Ministry handed over a Diplomatic Note to Vilayat Guliyev Ambassador of Azerbaijan Sunday, informing him, that Hungary condemns the action of Azerbaijan regarding the extradited azeri soldier who killed his Armenian fellow class mate.
On 31 August Budapest extradited Safarov to Azerbaijan where he was immediately pardoned by President Ilham Aliyev.
According to some media sources, Azerbaijan intends to buy Hungarian government bonds valued 2-3 billion euros. Some analysts say Baku used this deal to get Safarov.
These actions erupted outrage in Yerevan. On 31 August Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan invited the heads of all diplomatic missions in Armenia to the extraordinary meeting and said Armenia suspends all diplomatic relations with Hungary
According to the official website of Hungarian government, Nemeth noted that the actions of Azerbaijan strongly contradict to the earlier assurances to continue the enforcement.
On 15 August Deputy Justice Minister of Azerbaijan addressed a letter to his Hungarian counterpart guaranteeing to continue the enforcement of the life sentenced killer of Armenian officer. —0--
