Karabakh troops eliminate seven Azeri servicemen

Nagorno-Karabakh defense army’s troops eliminated on Friday night Azerbaijani firing points killing at least seven Azeri commandoes in pre-emptive operations, the press service of Nagorno-Karabakh army said.

YEREVAN, March 6. / ARKA /. Nagorno-Karabakh defense army’s troops eliminated on Friday night Azerbaijani firing points killing at least seven Azeri commandoes in pre-emptive operations, the press service of Nagorno-Karabakh army said.
It said Azeri troops continue to violate the ceasefire regime, using firearms of various calibers, including grenade launchers, Istigal sniper rifles and machine guns, to shell at Nagorno-Karabakh positions along with attempts to make reconnaissance and sabotage actions.
In particular, Azeri troops breached the truce 6 over 80 times in the early hours on March 6, making about 4,500 shots in the direction of Karabakh forces. Azeri troops used also anti-aircraft gun ZU-23-2 in the northern direction (Shahumyan).
"In order to neutralize this firing point Karabakh troops took appropriate action eliminating at least three soldiers of the enemy and destroying the anti-aircraft gun," it said in a statement.
As a result of similar action in Martakert direction Karabakh troops eliminated four Azeri troops. Karabakh troops had no casualties, the statement said.-0-
