YEREVAN, January 23. /ARKA/. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who is on a working visit to Brussels, had a meeting today with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

It said during the meeting the two men exchanged views on regional and international security issues of mutual interest.

Mirzoyan presented to the NATO Secretary General the humanitarian crisis that has emerged in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) as a result of Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor, and the consequences of Azerbaijan’s ongoing policy of ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh.

In this context, the importance of clear-cut action by the international community to eliminate the inhumane siege of Nagorno-Karabakh and bring Azerbaijan back to the negotiating table was stressed.

The sides expressed satisfaction with the level of political dialogue between Armenia and NATO, and touched upon current cooperation programs and future cooperation prospects. -0-
