A NATO week is to be held in Armenia from the 1st to the 8th of November, 2012, under the Individual Partnership Action Plan, the press service of Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

YEREVAN, October 31. /ARKA/. A NATO week is to be held in Armenia from the 1st to the 8th of November, 2012, under the Individual Partnership Action Plan, the press service of Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

Officials from the Foreign Ministry, the NATO, the US and the UK embassies are to give lectures at Giumry State Pedagogical University.

The main event of the Week, the seminar on Reinforcement of Cooperative Security: Additional Investment to NATO's New Partnership policy is to be held on November 5-6. Among participants of the seminar will be high-ranking Alliance and Ministry of Defense officials, NGOs, political scientists and experts. 

The Week participants will visit the peace-making brigade of Armenian Ministry of Defense. Armenian peacemakers at Kosovo and Afghanistan will have a chance to talk to their families through a telebridge linkup.

A visit will be paid to the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergencies.

The NATO Week events will be summarized at a TV round table discussion.

Armenia-NATO cooperation is currently guided by the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) signed in December 2005. –0--
