Six new members have come to the Armenian National Assembly.

YEREVAN, May 22. /ARKA/. Six new members have come to the Armenian National Assembly.
The thing is that some MPs have quit the parliament for various reasons.
Nikol Pashinyan, who was an MP from YELQ bloc, has been elected as prime minister and his sit in the parliament has become vacant.
Ararat Mirzoyan, Pashinyan’s fellow partisan, has been appointed as first vice-premier, and two other MPs from YELQ Mane Tandilyan and Artak Zeynalyan have appointed as labor and social affairs and justice ministers.
Besides, Griqor Avalyan, an MP from the Republican Party of Armenia, ands Aghvan Vardanyan, an MP from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation/Dashnaktsutiun, quit their seats in the National Assembly.
At today’s parliamentary session, Ara Babloyan, speaker of the National Assembly, introduced new lawmakers to the parliament.
YELQ bloc’s vacant seats went to Alen Simonyan, Hrachyan Hakobyan, Hovik Aghazaryan and Hayk Konjoryan, Armenian Republican’s seat to Hakob Hakobyan and Dashnaktsutiun’s seat to Ruzan Araqelyan.
The new legislators were sworn in today the parliament vowing to respect the law and the country’s interests.
On April 23, Serzh Sargsyan, who was appointed by the Armenian parliament as prime minister amid widespread disaffection for him, resigned under the pressure of mass protests against his premiership. On the same day, Armen Sarkissian, Armenian president accepted the government’s resignation.
On May 8, the National Assembly elected Nikol Pashinyan as prime minister by a majority of votes - 59 MPs voted for him and 42 voted against him. --0---
