Pashinyan ridicules allegations about worsening relations with Russia
YEREVAN, August 17. /ARKA/. Addressing a huge rally in Republican Suare today evening Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan ridiculed allegations about worsening Armenian-Russian relations.

In an interview with the Yerkir Media TV Channel on August 16 former president Robert Kocharyan said in a comment on Pashinyan statement that everyone should adapt to the situation in Armenia, including Russian partners, that Armenian authorities should not speak this language with Russia.

"Over the last 100 days I met twice with Russian President Vladimir Putin and had three phone conversations with him.  I can say unequivocally that the Armenian-Russian relations are not bad, and in spite of the Republican Party of Armenia and its satellites, they are in good shape and are set to improve further, "the prime minister said.

He repeated that there will be no foreign policy reversals, and one of the government's goals is to deepen the Armenian-Russian relations and bring them to a new level.

"Three months ago I promised that these relations will rise to a new level, and I want to say that after the relevant processes you will all learn about an Armenian-Russian humanitarian project, which is unprecedented in the history of independent Armenia after the collapse of the Soviet Union," Pashinyan said.

At the same time, the prime minister told Russian experts, who argue that Armenia is moving towards the West that Armenia is not going anywhere. Armenia stands firmly on its feet, with a straight back, with proud citizens and worthy behavior. ‘The Armenian-Russian strategic relationship will deepen and develop," he said. -0-
