YEREVAN, May 20. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the Armenian side "has never done and will never do anything to harm Russia's interests."
"We will not take any drastic actions. We respect Russia's interests at the highest level with the utmost respect," he said during a campaign speech.
At the same time, the prime minister stated that Armenia cannot prioritize Russia's interests over its own.
"And this is a legitimate position, and we will pursue Armenia's interests. We will not engage in contradiction or confrontation, let alone verbal spats or debates. High-level dialogue with our Russian partners will continue," he emphasized.
Pashinyan also noted that he has established friendly relations with the Russian president. "I doubt that from 2018 to the present day, the Russian president has had more contact with any other leader. During this time, we've had over 200 phone conversations alone," he added.
