"Today we have new aspirations, which are born every day and we should be ready and able to translate them into reality in New Armenia. The first perception of today's Armenia should be that it is a new environment that must be formed by each of us,’ the President's message says.

The President stressed that one of the lessons of history is that the victories were achieved in unity, and the new Armenia should be an Armenia of victories. "Our ideas and capabilities should outstrip our feelings and make our country more in tune with the course of world history. "Let's make this all the driving force of our future victories, we will do it all together - all citizens of Armenia and the Diaspora Armenians," he said.

"I congratulate all of us on the Independence Day and I wish us peace, prosperity, happiness and optimism," Sarkissian summed up.
