Russia has no serious tools of pressure on Georgia – analyst
YEREVAN, May 27. /ARKA/. Russia has no serious instruments of pressure on Georgia, director of the Caucasus Institute Alexander Iskandaryan said.

“In 2008 Georgia lost whatever it could lose and whatever it couldn’t… It is practically impossible to make Georgia pro-Russian, and that is what the political reality in Georgia indicates,” the analyst said.

According to Iskandaryan, the current situation with Abkhazia and South Ossetia and the country’s expectations from the cooperation with Europe make it impossible to turn this reality around.

Unlike Armenia and Azerbaijan, Georgia has an ideological opposition that aims at building new political reality, Iskandaryan said. –0--
