YEREVAN, August 11. /ARКА/. On August 10, Acting Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov, and US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker met in Washington to mark the first anniversary of the Washington Peace Summit.

According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Kostanyan praised US President Donald Trump's personal contribution to both the summit held last year and the institutionalization of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan this year.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on positive developments already recorded, infrastructure projects in the region, and confidence-building measures.

The importance of resolving existing humanitarian issues was emphasized.-0-
